DVLA (Driver Vehicle Licensing Agency) Road Tax Enforcement Team Clamping Untaxed Vehicles At Portland In Dorset UK
A team of Road Tax enforcement officers have been checking vehicles at Portland Dorset U.K. Any cars or vans found not to be taxed have been clamped and warning signs stuck to their windows.
The large metal clamps sometimes called a 'Denver Boot' are fixed to a wheel in order to stop the vehicle being moved. A fine of up to £1,000 can be applied if the driver tries to remove or tamper with the clamp.
The enforcement vans are fitted with number plate recognition cameras.
The DVLA or Driver Vehicle Licensing Agency and they monitor that Road Tax has been paid and is in date within the UK.
