A team of Road Tax enforcement officers have been checking vehicles at Portland Dorset U.K. Any cars or vans found not to be taxed have been clamped and warning signs stuck to their windows.

The large metal clamps sometimes called a 'Denver Boot' are fixed to a wheel in order to stop the vehicle being moved. A fine of up to £1,000 can be applied if the driver tries to remove or tamper with the clamp.

The enforcement vans are fitted with number plate recognition cameras.
