The conflict between the Ukrainian and Russian sides has noticeably escalated since 2021. Since 2014, the probability of Russia's military invasion of Ukraine is the highest possible at the moment. A huge amount of Russian military equipment has been transferred to the borders with Ukraine, both on the territory of the Russian Federation and on the territory of neighboring Belarus. Many experts admit the real possibility of an escalation of the military conflict between the parties, despite the fact that Vladimir Putin denies the likelihood of an escalation of the situation.

This video from January 22 demonstrates Donetsk shots as well as the opinion of Konstantin, a resident of Donetsk regarding the situation in the city:

Interviewer: [0:05-0:07] - Hello, please introduce yourself.
Konstantin: [0:08-0:09] - Hello, my name is Konstantin.
I: [0:10-0:22] - Konstantin, please tell me, it's said that the war may begin. How do you rate these words? Do you have any panic feelings, maybe an anxious state about this?
K: [0:23-0:36] - Well, personally I don't have any anxiety, there are no panic moods in the city center, but I think there are on the outskirts of the city.
I: [0:42-0:48] - Tell me, if there will be a war, are you ready to take up arms or is this not your destiny?
K: [0:49-0:52] - Most likely not. It's none of my business.
I: [0:53-0:57] - Konstantin, were you present in Donetsk in 2014 and 2015 when the war began?
K: [0:58-1:00] - Yes, I was here, I didn't go anywhere.
I: [1:01-1:05] - Did you stock up on canned food? Did you have a disturbing suitcase? Do you have it now?
K: [1:06-1:08] - I used to have, but not now.
I: [1:09] - So, you don't stock up on anything at all?
K: [1:10-1:11] - No, we have full stores.
I: [1:18-1:27] - Tell me, what is the general mood of the people in Donetsk? Are they worried? Are they talking in restaurants, shops about the war, or is everyone already so tired of it?
K: [1:28-1:34] - It seems to me that for as many years as all this has been happening, people have already got used to it.
I: [1:35-1:37] - What would you like to wish the residents of Donetsk and not only?
K:[1:38-1:43] - The most important thing is a peaceful sky above your head, and huge, huge health.
I: [1:44-1:45] - Thank you very much.
K: [1:46] - You're welcome.
