This is the astonishing moment a family were seen literally moving house - by recruiting their friends to carry the property across a RIVER.

They were moving to a new location in the same village so the area's men gathered to lend a hand on the outskirts of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on December 31.

Footage shows the maroon structure supported by a giant cart on each corner being dragged by villagers through the muddy river.

After several hours, the people were able to reach their destination and position the wooden home in its new lot on the other side of the village.

Onlooker Sam Phan said: 'They wanted to move house because a fortune teller told them they would have better luck in a new position.'
