Hundreds of protesters walked through Berlin’s government district on Wednesday (January 26), as lawmakers debated whether to make coronavirus vaccines mandatory for the population.

Much larger crowds were expected given the controversy of the debate, but a large police operation was in place and stopped the march quickly.

The debate took place as a number of other European countries such as Austria and Belgium consider making COVID-19 vaccines mandatory.
