Quick-thinking driver dodges toddler running into road
This is the heart-stopping moment a quick-thinking driver dodged a toddler who ran into the road.
Jirayu Suppaken, 27, was driving to work with his girlfriend when he nearly missed the youngster in Tak province, Thailand on January 22.
Dashcam footage shows the shirtless boy emerging from the side as he tried to cross the road before the driver swerved to avoid hitting him. The startled driver and his companion were also heard shouting in the background.
Jirayu said: ‘I would like to ask all parents to watch over their children at all times to prevent accidents. Drivers should be alert when they are on the road.
'I was driving at low speed because I was in a community area. If I was at my usual speed, I could have hurt the boy. Everything happened so fast.'
The boy was unhurt and taken home to his parents who said they had been looking for the boy after he wandered out of the house unnoticed.
