Dinosaur eggs found by construction workers in southern China
April 19, 2015. During road improvement work in the city of Heyuan, Guangdong province,construction workers discovered a nest of 43 fossilized dinosaur eggs.
Heyuan City museum staff rushed to the scene after receiving the report and 110 policemen also were dispatched to maintain public order.
Local archaeologist Du Yanli said that because to the city's downtown area lies on beds of red sandstone there is strong likelihood of discovering similar finds. He hopes that relevant departments for construction of public roads and bridges look out for dinosaur eggs and notify the public security departments of cultural relics protection.
