An Indian Army light aircraft crashed over an area of farmland in northern India this morning (January 28).

The incident took place in Baghdaha village, Gaya district, Bihar. Many local villagers saw the plane going down and initially ran for cover before gathering around the fallen aircraft.

Two pilots from the Officers Training Academy (OTA) were aboard but safely ejected before the crash. It is believed the crash was caused by a technical fault on the plane.

An Army micro Aircraft suddenly fell into the field in the village of Baghdaha of Bodh Gaya block of Gaya district, Northern India. The incident is being reported this morning. The villagers got scared seeing the micro aircraft falling. During this time many people started making videos on the phone. At the same time, many villagers started running after seeing this, when the micro aircraft fell in the field with a loud sound. Two pilots were aboard, the flight was full of OTAs for training.

After the incident, both the pilots aboard the micro aircraft ejected. Both are safe. After the incident, a crowd of people gathered at the spot. After this the pilot informed the Officers Training Academy (OTA). On being informed, OTA officials rushed to the spot and the lightly damaged aircraft was brought back to the camp. The soldiers had flown in a micro aircraft for training, but due to a technical fault, it went uncontrollable.
In this regard, the Director of Gaya
International Airport, Bangjit Shaha, said that the Army jawan from Gaya OTA had flown for training with micro aircraft. Shortly after the flight, information was received that the aircraft became uncontrollable and made an emergency landing and landed in the field. However, due to the intelligence of both the pilots, no major accident occurred.
