John A Buchan, skipper at Ocean Endeavour, captures the moment he and his crew were caught up in Storm Malik winds in the North Sea, off the coast of Aberdeenshire in Scotland, on Saturday (January 29).

Gusts of up to 80mph hit parts of the UK. Two people are known to have died and tens of thousands of homes were left without power.

"75 miles ENE of Peterhead," Buchan wrote on Twitter. "Getting our arse kicked on the way ashore. Gusting over 70kts now. At least the boats getting a good wash and blow dry," he joked.

Fishing News Live tweeted in response to the video: "Looks like 90mph gusts from #StormMalik forced @JohnABuchan1 on the Ocean Endeavour to haul the trawl aboard and head for port this afternoon. The true price of putting monk, haddock and other fish on a plate."
