A car in southern China rolled back into farmland after the driver forgot to put the handbrake on.

In the video filmed on January 27 in Loudi, Hunan province, shortly after the driver got out his car, the vehicle started to move backwards.

When the driver turned back and tried to rush to the car, it was too late and the car overturned in the field.

According to the driver, Mr Liao, he had just started his car to go out when he found the windshield of his car iced up. He wanted to get out of the car and get back home to get some hot water to deal with the ice, but he forgot to put the handbrake on.

The car has been hoisted out and sent to the garage for maintenance.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
