A young Chinese man named Wang Xuefei has made an exquisite stop-motion animation using the crop millet in northern China.

The video showed a dance animation and a handwritten animation of the Chinese character “fu”, which means blessing, to welcome the Year of the Tiger.

According to the filmer, it took about two weeks to shoot with four or five hundred pictures.

Wang Xuefei said millet has a history of 8,000 years in his hometown, known as the “home of millet in the world."

He majored in film and television production at university and has been thinking about promoting his hometown after graduation. He finally chose stop-motion animation.

The video was filmed in Chifeng Aohan Banner, Inner Mongolia, on January 13, and provided by local media with permission.
