Locals attempt to chase away lone elephant in residential area in eastern India
An elephant strayed out of its habitat and walked across the streets of a residential region in eastern India's West Bengal on February 1.
The incident took place in Sankrail village in Jhargram district.
Visuals feature the jumbo roaming across the residential area while the sky is dark. Following this, the locals standing at a certain distance try to chase it away to avoid any mishap while it walks away.
The elephants in the region are known for straying off their corridor to look for subsistence.
