Family's Chinese New Year meal interrupted by car crashing into their house
A family in southern China had their Lunar new Year meal interrupted after a car crashed into their home.
Filmed in Changde, Hunan province, the footage shows the car suddenly smashing into the house at a fast speed as the family was having dinner on Lunar New Year's Eve.
According to the witness, Ms Chen, they suddenly heard a big sound and thought people outside was putting on some really loud firecrackers before they realised there was a car.
Fortunately, the car missed the family and no one was injured.
It’s reported that the car driver just got their driving license and mistook the accelerator for the brake. The insurance company has been dealing with compensation.
The video was filmed on January 31 and provided by local media with permission.
