Aerial footage of a digger dredging a small river, showing satisfying progress as it clears reeds

Aerial footage shows the super-satisfying work of a digger clearing reeds, plants and debris from a small river near Llandudno, North Wales.

The machinery scoops down across the length of the river, dumping the cleared reeds and mud in piles on the banks. The value of the dredging work is clear to see, with one length of the river completely clear and the other half almost hidden beneath the reeds.

The river, known as the Afon Ganol, serves as a short drain taking water from Mochdre and Rhos-on-sea, along with the hills of Bryn Pydew and Bryn Euryn, and carries it a short distance across reclaimed land to the sea, visible in the distance along with Llandudno's Little Orme and Penrhyn Bay.
