Unmanned vessel recovered after breaking free during Storm Corrie off Kent, UK

During Storm Corrie a large un-manned ex-accommodation barge (ship) broke its mooring on the River Medway in Kent, UK (January 31) before ending up much further down estuary lodged against a mud bank of Lower Halstow creek, narrowly missing moored boats.

Today (February 3) at high water two tugs GPS Ionia & GPS Felucca were sent out to attempt recovery.

Initially the small tugs struggled to free the precariously positioned vessel, before eventually succeeded in towing it free as shown in this footage.
