A team of workers were forced to flee after a train failed to stop and ploughed through the repair work they were doing.

Footage from near Kaluga, western Russia, shows the workers scramble, jump off a ladder and run to the side of the tracks to avoid the oncoming train.

An electrician injured his leg after falling from the ladder and the train driver called an ambulance.

A signalman dropped his radio in the snow and did not have time to notify the workers of the approaching train.

This footage was captured on February 1.

A team of workers noticed an approaching train, people began to descend from a removable isolation tower, but did not have time, then they had to jump into the snow. It was impossible to avoid a collision - the train demolished a metal structure.
