This is the moment a metal fence fell on a boy when he tried to close it to keep a dog inside the house.

CCTV video footage shows how the quick-thinking seven-year-old boy noticed the barking pet pooch trying to get out onto the driveway.

He rushed over and began sliding the metal gate. However, it came off its rollers and toppled over onto him outside the property in Chanthaburi province, Thailand on January 27.

The boy was not seriously hurt and only suffered a minor head bump, which his parents treated at home without being taken to hospital.

Resident Utane Tasamon said the youngster’s parents were visiting her when the accident happened outside her house.

She said: ‘The boy was trying to drag the gate over the shoes on the floor, that’s why it fell on him. Luckily, the gate was not very heavy, otherwise, he could have had a serious injury.’
