A fisherman caught a creepy and hairy worm-like creature in a sea in southern Thailand.

Footage shows the strange sea animal wriggling its body with spike-looking hair across its body in Krabi province on January 13.

The fisherman Su Surasak said the mysterious animal was called an Annelid worm after he was informed by locals about it.

He said: 'I was shocked when I realised I captured this creature instead of a fish. It swallowed the whole hook with its unusual mouth.'

Annelids are segmented worms such as earthworms and leeches.
