Playing with ice is all fun and games until it isn't.

Victoria Lalena found this out the hard way on 1 February. She very nearly found it out the deadly way.

This clip, shot in Portland, Maine, shows Victoria removing a slab of ice from a roof and attempting to kick it into pieces. She had also set up a camera to capture the stunt.

"I wanted to create a slow-motion video of me breaking the ice but the ice had a different plan for me," Victoria said.

Not thinking her plan through very carefully, she attempted her trick while standing on ice, and promptly slipped, landing on the roof and sliding towards the edge -- a potentially fatal distance from the ground!

Fortunately the clearly concerned young lady stopped before rolling off the roof to a tragic fate, and in the process made a classic rather than calamitous video blooper.

Emanating from Portland, Maine, this clip shows Victoria getting creative with the layer of ice formed over her roof.

The subject, standing on the icy surface, takes a piece of ice and then attempts to smash it by kicking it, only to slip and fall at the same time.

The fact that the subject was standing too close to the edge of the roof added some tension to the otherwise funny footage.

This comedic winter blooper was caught on camera on February 1, 2022.
