A wall had to be knocked down after a motorist drove their vehicle into a narrow alley in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Chizhou in Anhui Province on February 4 shows a car getting trapped in between two walls and a man using a hammer to try to smash the wall on one side.

A villager told the local reporter, the car drove into the narrow alley by mistake after following the navigation and got stuck in between a three-storey building and a courtyard wall.

The motorist climbed out of the car window and the courtyard owner finally hired a worker to tear down the wall so the motorist could free his car.

The courtyard's owner Ms Wu said it took an hour for them to free the car and the motorist paid the money to rebuild the wall.

现场视频显示，一辆丰田轿车卡在一个巷子里，车子上方盖着一个木板，上面覆盖着积雪，两侧没有一点空间。另一段视频，一名男子拿着铁锤在汽车的一侧抡锤砸墙。
“一面是楼房，一面是院墙，保车只能拆院墙了。”永胜村一村民告诉记者，这辆汽车是初四凌晨被卡在巷子里的，因车子太宽、巷子太窄根本动不了，车主只好从天窗爬出来，将车留在巷内。车被卡后，车主来过两三次，来商量如何将车弄出来。巷子一面是一栋三层的楼房，如拆除的话花销太大，肯定只能拆另一面的院墙。
9日上午，被拆院墙的主人吴先生告诉记者，车主是30多岁男子，家住离永胜村半小时车程的村庄，因对村里地形不熟悉，凌晨全靠导航指引，车主一脚油门开进了他家院墙与邻居家之间的巷子里，结果被卡。车主从车窗脱困后，白天找到吴先生表达歉意。因为那几天正下大雪，不便开拆，双方商讨后决定初八再拆墙。8日上午12时许，吴先生请来工人拆墙，花了近一个小时才将车解救出来。吴先生说，车主也不容易，他只让车主象征性地补偿了千把块钱用于院墙复原。（视频由安徽台提供）
