Local residents in Indonesia caught 10 crocodiles in the past week.

In footage filmed in Babana village-Mamuju Tengah, West Sulawesi province, on Monday (February 7), crocodiles were caught at the mouth of the Budong-budong river to keep residents and crocodiles safe.

Local residents are restless after the predator is often seen around settlements and terrorizing fishermen.

The capture of this ancient animal used improvised equipment, and it took quite a long time to set the bait and trap it using nets or ropes.

10 crocodiles were caught in the past week. Rebellious crocodiles have injured residents who are trying to tame this amazing beast.

A local resident, Rusli, said that many crocodiles had appeared which disturbed the residents, especially the freshwater fishermen. “Before crocodiles eat humans, it is better to catch them for breeding. I hope that the crocodiles and residents are both safe," Rusli added.
