Chinese man sculpts tiny Winter Olympic mascots into pencil leads
A man sculpted the mascots for the Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympics into pencil leads in northern China.
An incredible video filmed in the city of Baoding in Hebei Province on February 2 shows a 23-year-old man named Li Mingjun sculpting miniature Bing Dwen Dwen, Shuey Rhon Rhon, Chinese characters “Beijing” and “winter” and the number “2022” on the only 3-millimetre-diameter pencil leads.
Li said: “I had to sharpen lots of pencils when I was in high school and one day I happened to sculpt a heart on the pencil lead and felt very interesting.”
Since Li likes miniature products, he has been sculpting pencil leads for around six years.
It took him five days to finish all the products in the video.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
