Video captured the moment a doctor removed a giant fish bone stuck in a patient's throat in Nghe An, Vietnam.

According to the doctor, the man came to the hospital with a severe sore throat.

The man said he swallowed a fish bone when eating a piece of fish and it had got stuck, causing him pain.

After using the endoscope, the doctor located the very large fish bone, which had three sharp points sticking out and into in the man's throat.

The doctor said that made the job of removing it particularly tricky as the spikes could severely injure the patient's throat on removal.

The man said he would give up eating fish after this incident.
