An incredible drone dance show impressed viewers at an inventors’ fair in Thailand.

The buzzing drones took to the air and formed different shapes inside the exhibition hall at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre on February 6.

They were coordinated using the Drone Swarm Software – a code developed by the Aircraft Simulator and Radio Control Sports Association. The Thai-made algorithm won the award for Outstanding Invention of the Year in 2021.

The invention is reportedly the first-ever in Southeast Asia that can control multiple drones to take off at the same time and arrange them in different positions using commands from a single computer.

Aside from controlling the sound and shape produced, the software’s applications can be extended to reduce firework-related incidents, aid in goods transportation, manage cultivation in agriculture, and carry chemicals to extinguish forest fires.
