A man got dragged on a car's bonnet for a few meters after the vehicle hit him in northern India's New Delhi on February 8. The incident took place in the Greater Kailash region of South Delhi.

CCTV footage features the moderately busy road. Within moments, a speeding car zooms past the street with a man clinging onto the bonnet. The vehicle drags the man for a few meters, following which he rolls off the bonnet and falls on the road.

Following the incident, the local police arrested the suspect, identified as Raj Sunderam, and his former bureaucrat father, who was present in the car.

The victim, identified as 37-year-old Anand Vijay Mandelia, sustained injuries and was rushed to Max Super Specialty Hospital for treatment.

Moreover, upon further investigation, Sections 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide), 307 (attempt to murder), and 212 (harboring offender) of the Indian Penal Code have also been added in the case.
