Rescuers in southern India saved a wild bison last week that was stuck in mud.

Tea plantation workers in the Valparai Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu spotted the stricken beast on February 10 and called the forest department.

Officers used ropes and logs to haul the creature to firmer ground until it was able to walk to safety.

Wild Bison scared the forest staff as it stood up from the slush where it was trapped.

Wild Bison that came near human habitation is search of food and water got trapped in the mud and the slush. The tea estate employees saw this and informed the forest officials. They rushed to the spot and with logs of wood and ropes they tried to pull the bison out. But since its too heavy they cant able to pull it. Then they sprinkled some water on it. Later they were forced to move the bison by hitting it or else it will struck again. Then it gained strength and walked away into the tea estate and then to the forest. But the forest staffs got scared when it stood up.
