This traditional Indonesian cattle race is one wild affair. The jockeys speed through a muddy field and can barely make it to the end. In many cases the jockeys fall off, getting thrown right into the mud.

The footage filmed on February 12 shows residents going to the race track, the cattle being readied and eventually several actual races. In some of them the jockeys end up in the mud, in others they make it to the finish line.

The Pacu Jawi cattle race is held after the rice harvest and has become an attraction for both locals and foreign tourists.
