People gather at Palestinian house destroyed by Israeli forces in West Bank's Jenin
A Palestinian was killed and 20 injured during a raid by the Israeli military in the village of Silat al-Harithiya in the West Bank city of Jenin, after midnight on Monday 14 February.
Security sources told local news agency WAFA that an Israeli military force backed by bulldozers stormed the town of Al-Silah Al-Harithiya from all sides and closed all roads leading to it.
Soldiers then stormed the family house of prisoner Mahmoud Jaradat before it was demolished.
Jaradat is a suspect in the killing of Yehuda Dimentman in a terror attack in mid-December. He has yet to be convicted.
Israel demolishes the homes of Palestinians accused of deadly terror attacks -- a controversial policy criticised as collective punishment by rights groups.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that Mohammad Akram Abu Salah, 17, from the nearby village of al-Yamoun, succumbed to gunshot wounds to the head from Israeli gunfire.
The director of the ambulance service in Jenin, Mahmoud Al-Saadi, said that the Israeli forces prevented ambulances from entering the town to treat and transport the injured, while a WAFA correspondent reported that many others suffered tear gas injuries.
