When temperatures plummeted to -28°C this family decided to show off a jaw-dropping trick but taking boiling water and turning it into an icy mist when thrown into sub-zero conditions.

Prina and Bobby Patel were snowed in with their family in the freezing cold winter in Chicago, Illinois during January 2019 but have only released their mind-blowing video in January 2022.

The parents decide to boil up some water only to step one foot outside and throw it into the frostbitten wind whilst the doorbell camera captured the action.

When Prina did so, a cloud of steam engulfed the porch as the hot liquid has been crystallised in an instant leaving nothing but vapour behind which wowed everyone witnessing it.

Prina said: "Our young kids wanted to experiment to see what happens when you throw hot water in the freezing cold Chicago winter air.

"They thought it was very cool and wanted to try it.

"Once the  hot water was out of the cup and in the air; it instantly turned to a small snow form/small ice particles."
