A diamond-encrusted Bing Dwen Dwen, the mascot of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, debuted in central China.

Video filmed in the city of Zhengzhou in Henan Province on February 14 shows the 16-centimetre-high mascot which is encrusted with around 2,700 artificial diamonds over its body.

The diamond mascot reportedly has a limited release volume of 2,022 units with the price being 2,022 yuan (£235) each.

The diamond-encrusted mascot displayed at an authorized merchandise store in Zhengzhou CIty is the only one in China and it will be displayed for three days before it is put on sale.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
