This is the terrifying moment an explosion smashes through a cafe’s window at night.

Nud Pretphat, 37, was sleeping with her children when she received a call from the landlord about a loud bang heard in her meatball shop in Bangkok, Thailand on February 8 evening.

The shop owner rushed to the establishment and was shocked to discover that the storefront had been burnt. The curtains were also torn and the glass was broken.

She went through the CCTV recording and found that the explosion happened outside of the shop but the impact was so strong that it left damage up to the structure's interior.

Nud said: ‘The landlord called me and asked if I left the cooking gas running as there was fire blowing out from my shop. Luckily my two children and I were not there when the explosion took place.

'I have many competitors in the same street, but I don’t believe they would go to the extent of bombing my shop because the sales have been terrible for the past seven months. There were days that I couldn't sell a single skewer.'

A Huai Khwang district police officer said: 'We have investigated the scene and found that a man riding a motorcycle passed by and threw homemade bombs the size of ping-pong balls into the shop, causing the explosion.'

No injuries have been reported from the incident. Police are checking surveillance cameras in the area to track down the bomber.
