Tourists touched a tiger's head for luck in a wildlife park in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Suzhou in Anhui Province on February 13 shows an around 4-month-old tiger wandering inside a display area surrounded by barriers.

A woman was heard saying: "Hello, hello! Can I touch you? You look so cute."

Another clip shows the tiger standing on its two hind legs and laying on the barrier, while tourists were trying to touch its head.

According to a witness Ms Wang, the tiger was very gentle and an employee was watching on site.

As it is the Year of the Tiger, tourists wanted to get luck by touching the head of the tiger.

An employee of the wildlife park said it was a display event and they did not allow tourists to touch the animals normally.

The event has been stopped already.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
