Security forces recover arms, ammunition in joint operation in northern India

In a joint operation by the security forces, a cache of arms and ammunition was recovered in northern India's Jammu and Kashmir on February 14. The incident took place near the Line of Control (LoC) in Deri Dabsi village of Mendhar area in Poonch district.

Visuals feature several firearms, an AK-47 rifle, and ammunition unearthed by the Indian army from the hideout. Following this, the troops stand aside the counter after recovering a payload of weapons and display them on a desk for public view.

The recovery was made during a search and cordon operation jointly conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir police and Indian Army. The recovery included one AK-47 rifle, one magazine, two pistols, and two pistol magazines. Following the incident, a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered under relevant sections of the Arms Act at Mendhar police station while an investigation into the matter is underway.
