Handmade candies shaped like cartoon animals and other cute shapes are sold from this tiny street stall in Thailand.

The sweet treats called 'Namtan-Pan' are a type of traditional dessert normally sold at rural village fairs at Buddhist temples.

However, the trader seen in the video has taken the traditional sweet-making technique on the road and now sells his creations in the capital Bangkok. He moulds the coloured sugar into various shapes, from dragons to parrots and sells them at 20 baht (0.62 USD) per skewer.

Namtan-Pan is first prepared by simmering the sugar for an hour with coconut milk and mixing it with pandan leaf or flower to add color.

The hot sugar is then shaped into different shapes by hand within five minutes before the sugar hardens. It is then stuck on a skewer with bright appearances.
