This is the hilarious moment a chubby boy accidentally broke a plastic chair while playing a balloon popping game at a kids' party in the Philippines.

Video taken in Tondo District, Manila City on January 16 shows the children lining up to pop the balloons by sitting on them. Successful participants were given a small cash prize for their efforts.

However, one boy seemingly took the game a little too seriously when he brought the full force of his considerable weight down on the balloon, popping not only the inflatable but also demolishing the plastic chair it was placed on. Onlookers howled in laughter at the youngster's hilarious gaffe.

Gino Abendano, who organised the party, said: 'Amid the pandemic, we still decided to have an intimate birthday celebration for my nephew's 10th birthday. We played games with prizes that everyone would enjoy.

'They say to always expect the unexpected when it comes to parties and events, and we definitely didn't see this coming.'
