A dramatic video has emerged of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl falling off a stage and breaking his leg at a concert in Sweden on Friday.

In the footage, captured by a fan in the audience at the Ullevi stadium in Gothenburg, Grohl can be seen taking a dramatic tumble during a performance of their hit song 'Monkey Wrench' (at approximately 00:36s).

According to news reports, the singer said: "I think I just broke my leg," as he lay on the ground.

The band have cancelled two shows while they await further updates on his condition.

"He fullfilled the gig with a big smile on his face and a big plaster round his leg.
