Massive sinkhole swallows stream in south Kashmir

Locals in northern India's Kashmir were shocked after finding out that a popular trout angling stream was swallowed by a massive sinkhole.

According to experts, the phenomenon has caused massive damage to aquatic life, including to trout fish.

Meanwhile, the local administration has enforced restrictions under section 144 and asked people not to venture near the sinkhole.

Visuals shot on February 16 shows the sinkhole that has caused panic among locals.

The sinkhole first appeared on February 12 in the Brengi stream in the Kokernag area of Anantnag district, according to reports.
