Final round of applause for designers VIN + OMI and all the models of ART fashion show at The Dorchester. For London Fashion Week, creative and dynamic designer duo VIN + OMI have launched the world’s first ‘plant leather’ garment made from chestnuts. ART fashion show hosted at The Dorchester highlighted a new way of working with waste plant material in a sustainable way. Daler Rowney Ambassadors VIN + OMI filled The Dorchester Ballroom with bright and funky eye-catching designs. The show featured innovations from the designer’s ongoing collaboration with Prince Charles. This project looks at the ways in which UK country estates utilise their waste and provides sustainable solutions. Willow rods pruned from the Highgrove Estate have been processed into textile. VIN + OMI’s Nettle fabric made from Highgrove nettles were also included in the collection.
