Alert railway police staff saved a woman from death after she got stuck while boarding a moving train in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

The incident, caught on CCTV cameras, took place at the Gwalior station on February 17.

Visuals showed the woman boarding the train when she gets stuck and almost fails to keep pace with the locomotive. It is understood that the woman had already placed her bags inside the compartment and hence wanted to retrieve those. However, she was dragged. This is when the constable ran towards her, first dragging her to safety and later getting the bags out from the moving train.

The constable has been identified as Shiv Shankar Singh.
