Passengers miraculously survived a horror crash after their van smashed into a pickup truck.

Everyone caught in the collision, including a five-year-old boy, was safe without serious injuries in Palawan province, the Philippines on February 13.

The vehicles were driving on opposite lanes after a thunderstorm when the crash happened, wrecking the pickup truck's bonnet while the van flipped on its side.

Locals and passing motorists rushed to help the passengers from the van and took them to a nearby hospital where they were given treatment and sent later that day.

Puerto Princesa City Police officer Roberto Bucad said: 'We are still investigating the cause of the crash. No casualties have been reported and everyone was safe.'

Investigations on the incident are ongoing.
