Storm Eunice winds rip tent fabric off London's O2 roof leaving gaping hole
Winds from Storm Eunice have torn a huge hole in the roof of London's 02 Arena.
Footage filmed by Ben Hubbard on February 18 shows a gaping hole left in the dome after tent fabric was ripped off by winds over 80 mph.
Hubbard recorded the video from his room in the InterContinental London hotel which overlooks the arena.
He told Newsflare: "From the 14th floor of the O2 I witnessed the destruction of the dome canopy, each panel was gradually ripped away by the wind.
"It started with a small section and then extended to around six panels, exposing the interior exhibition areas."
Local media reported that 1,000 people were evacuated from the arena but that there were no injuries.
