Millions of people were told to stay at home as Storm Eunice, one of the worst storms to hit the UK in decades, arrived, bringing record-breaking winds of up to 122mph to England. The Met Office even issued a red weather warning for southern and eastern England, meaning the storm posed a threat to life in those areas.
