Two unsuspected people in a car is almost hit by a large branch which falls during storm Eunice, near Castle Combe
While the driver and his passenger are driving back from a meeting.
While passing through the village Ford, near Castle Combe. A large branch looks like it is blown out of a tree and lands on a bus shelter which ends up blocking the A420 road. In the process, the branch takes out electrical cable lines and sprays broken bits of wood all over the car and the road. This could have been blown down because of the storm, or it was cut down, as there was a tree surgeon on site?
The bus shelter which the branch landed on is flattened and the cables are hanging across the road which blocks traffic in both directions.
No one was hurt during this incident.
