Palestinians clashed with Israeli forces leaving dozens injured in the West Bank on Friday afternoon February 18.

Tear gas and rubber bullets were fired at the demonstrators in the village of Beita, near Evyatar, in the Nablus area during a weekly protest against against an 'illegal' outpost.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said that 87 people received medical treatment following the violence but none sustained serious injuries. One man was also reportedly hit in the head by a rubber-tipped bullet.

Locals claim that the Evyatar outpost, which was established by Israeli authorities around 18 months ago on the land of three Palestinians villages – Beita, Qabalan and Yatma – before being abandoned last July, was unauthorised. At least eight people have been shot and killed during ongoing protests against the military outpost.

The clashes came as a 12-year-old boy was reportedly wounded by gunshots from Israeli forced during a weekly demonstration at the Palestinian village of Kafr Qaddum.

The youngster is said to have been shot in the leg while a man was also injured reportedly while fleeing from the clashes.
