Man dangling from compartment of moving train holds on to dear life in southern India, saved by alert cop
A man rode his luck, albeit with help from an alert railway police officer, to survive a certain death after he slipped and was left dangling from the compartment of a moving train in southern India's Andhra Pradesh.
The incident, captured on CCTV cameras, took place at the Kakinada Town Railway station on February 18.
Visuals showed the shocking scene. The man is holding on to his dear life, trying hard to not fall down and get squashed under the wheels of the train, as the police officer notices and runs towards him for help. Fortunately for him, several others too notice the man in distress, and together they manage to pull him to safety, as the locomotive comes to a halt.
According to reports, the man tried to board the Tirupati Renigunta Express but slipped in the process as it had started to move. Railway Essay Rama Rao noticed the accident and swiftly came to the man's rescue, just in the nick of time.
