Driver with nerves of steel steers car along treacherous mountain road in Vietnam
Video captured the moment a driver with nerves of steel navigates a car along a narrow and dangerous road on a mountain top in Lai Chau, Vietnam.
The scene was captured on video on 15 January 2021.
The road, thousands of metres up, is very narrow and has a steep drop beside it.
It is considered one of the most dangerous in the entire country and very few drivers choose to drive it.
As if it was not bad enough, the road is two-way! If a car meets another one going in the other direction, they have to drive in reverse for a long time to reach a passing point.
Video shows the driver trying to control the car by moving slowly along its twists and turns.
It was his first time experiencing this road, which is about 10km (6.2 miles) long.
