This clip captures the frightening moment Thibault was sent flying off his bike during a downhill MTB competition in Alpe d'Huez, France.

The moment he enters the scene, he gets flipped over his ride, soaring through the air before being slammed hard on the dirt track.

His bicycle also flies through the air before repeatedly bouncing high off the trail.

"This crash happened at the end of a qualification round of French Championships," Thibault said. "It was, by far, my biggest crash to date. I was very lucky to get through this without any serious injuries."
