This is the moment tuk-tuk drivers ignored a strong dust devil tornado whipping along a road.

Footage shows brown dust swirling on a road as tuktuk drivers casually passed through it as it formed in Cotabato province, the Philippines on February 17.

Onlooker Yhas Talilisen Mohamad said: 'I was surprised because it looked strong. I was scared that it might become bigger but the passing cars didn't care about it.'

Dust devils are a type of whirlwind tornado that form when the sun heats a patch of land and the air above becomes warmer and rises quickly.

Cooler air then moves into the low-pressure gap left by the rising warm air. The new drafts of cooler air also heat up, rise and the cycle continues, picking up dust and debris making the spiral visible.
