On February 18, an emergency evacuation of the population of the DPR and LPR to the Rostov region began due to a possible attack by Ukraine.

On February 20, a train with refugees from the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR arrived in Voronezh. People who arrived from Donbas will be placed in the 'Kirovets' and 'Blue Screen' children camps. The refugees arrived in the Voronezh Region through the city of Rostov.

The evacuees were also sent to the Kursk region by train. In total, about 2 thousand people from the DPR and LPR will arrive in both regions on three trains.

This video illustrates an interview of Kravchenko Zoya Andreevna, a refugee from Novoazovsky district.

Translation of the interviews with the refugee:

[0:01-1:21] Papina Lyudmila Fedorovna, a refugee:

– ..They organized it(move) well, yes, they organized it well, a bus picked us up from home, then they put us on the train, gave us ration packs. Well, it's a little hard on the road with the kids, but everything was fine.
– Was it hard to pack up, to decide?
– Oh, it was a shock. I was confused, I'm still sick and my head can't think well, I packed (things in the bag). And when we arrived, I couldn't understand what did I put in the bag, I just got confused.
– Are you scared?
– Yes, I'm really scared.
– Did you hear there might have been explosions or something?
– We used to hear (explosions), but now they're a little far away somewhere, somewhere in a distance.
– So where are you from?
– Novoazovsky district.
– Are you planning to return home after all?
– Oh, of course, I hope we would be here for a week and then go home.
– Did you think that everything would be like this?
– No, we thought they would bring us somewhere near Taganrog. And they brought us here, we are literally shocked. It's a bit far away (from home).
– How are the conditions?
– Well, everything is fine so far, we have settled here, somehow we will live.
– Ah, please introduce yourself.
– Zoya Andreevna Kravchenko.
