A three-year-old, playing in his uncle's field, fell into an uncovered borewell, which is nearly 200-feet-deep, in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

The incident took place in the Badchhad village, located in the Umaria district, on February 24.

Visuals feature the rescue operations underway. The concerned authorities arrive at the spot, equipped with earthmovers, and swing into action. They pump oxygen into the well from its entrance while the JCBs dig out the land in the proximity to create an evacuation passage.

As per reports, the child, identified as Gaurav Dubey, is believed to be stuck some 40-feet below the ground.

Moreover, apart from the police personnel, a team associated with the state disaster emergency response force (SDERF) is on its way to Umaria from Jabalpur to join the rescue operation.
