After an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 shook West Pasaman Regency, West Sumatra, on Friday (25/2/2022) at 8.39 WIB.

The occurrence of a hot mud landslide which is thought to have originated from the Talamau Mountain Avalanche. Information from a video recorder, Yuhendri Yanto in the video, said that due to the hot mudslide, 4 houses and 1 mosque were washed away by the mudslide, but there were no casualties.

The chairman of the Indonesian Geological Experts Association (IAGI) in West Sumatra, Dian Hadiyansyah, said that the earthquake that occurred today, Friday, February 25, 2022, indicated the release of energy in the earth. Pasaman has 2 segments, namely Angkola and Barumun, this earthquake includes the Sumatran fault, the Angkola segment which is a connection from the Sianok segment and the meeting point is at the epicenter between Lubuk Sikaping and Mount Talamau.
